Last Five Songs I Heard in the Supermarket

As I said in this blog post,  I can't help but notice the music played in supermarkets.  Here are the last five songs I'm heard in them.  It's an eclectic but very supermarket mix.

1.  Samantha Mumba - Gotta Tell You

It's classic supermarket music because it fits into the genre of forgotten 2000s pop songs.  The only place this song gets played is in the supermarket and on YouTube.

2.  Anna Kendrick - Cups

This one is a little surprising because it's actually a current song being played.  The song is so popular that it somehow broke through the supermarket music time warp

Who doesn't enjoy a good Gin Blossoms song? The emphasis is on song because all their songs sound the same.

Try to tell the difference between "Hey Jealously," "Found About You," and "Follow You Down," before the chorus.  I now just realized those songs are like a progression from jealous boyfriend to bitter break up, and finally crazy ex-boyfriend stalker.

This is just so 90s.  That is all.

Again, only a song you hear in a supermarket.  The rest of the world has agreed not to play it.  I thought this was buried with the remains of various MTV VJs at the MTV Beach House.

Yep, this is the same Joey Lawrence from Blossom doing his best Color Me Badd impression.
